Universal Coal to Lift Coal Production in South Africa

Universal Coal plc, UK has a plan to produce 6.5 million tons of coal in South Africa in 2017.Universal Coal is now running Kangala thermal coal mine in South Africa. The coal production capacity at thiscoal mine is 2.1Mtpa, of which 2.0Mtpa is shipped to Eskom, a state-owned electric power company in South Africa andthe remaining 100,000 tons is exported.
