Among 33 refining facilities in Japan, consisting of 31 crude distillation units and 2 condensate splitters, with totalcapacity of 3,916,700 barrels per day, at least 12 units will be shut for turnaround in 2016. The number of the unit that willbe shut in 2016 is one unit smaller than in 2015 when maintenance was conducted at 13 units. However, another 1-2 unitsare likely to be actually closed for maintenance in addition to the 12 units since the maintenance schedule for the next yearat Yokkaichi refinery of Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd. has not yet been fixed at the moment.
