TEPCO To Receive 2.5 Mil. KL Of Duel & Crude Oils In FY 2010-In view of delay in economic recovery and restart of unit No.1 & 5 at Kashiwazaki Kariwa Plant

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) is expected to procure 2.5 million KL of fuel and crude oils for fiscal year 2010 (from April 2010 to March 2011). After Kashiwazaki Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant located in Kariwa Village, Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture was directly hit by the earthquake in July 2007, TEPCO has increased its receipts of fuel and crude oils to about 9 million KL in FY 2007, about 6 million KL in FY 2008 and 4.2-4.3 million KL in FY 2009. Compared with the receipts for the past three years, TEPCO intends to make a drastic reduction this time.
