The coal industry in the U.S. is now facing a fateful crisis. The reason for the above is because President Obamain this country who propels a policy to prevent global warming decided on January 15 to suspend the issuance of a mininglease for a new coal mining area at state-owned lands aiming at reduction in the emission amount of carbon dioxide.Accordingly, it won’t be possible in the U.S. to exploit new coal mining areas at state-owned lands from nowonward. As a result, more than 30 coal projects which have been brought into shape in Wyoming, Montana, Utah andColorado will have to be frozen or put off.
