Shell Expects Gorgon to Be Operational Before End of 2016

Anglo-Dutch oil giant Royal Dutch Shell plc, which is participating in LNG production project in Australia Gorgon LNG Project with capacity to produce 15.6 million tons per year of LNG, showed its prospect that the project would go on stream before the end of 2016, which was described in the annual report released on March 12th. Shell suggested that the project can begin operating around the end of 2016, one year behind schedule made by the U.S. energy major Chevron Corporation, the operator of the project.
