Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd., which is striving to complete building a Hitachi-Kashima main natural gas pipeline in Ibaragiprefecture, near Tokyo by 2020, seems to regard a plan to install a pipeline on the seabed as more promising. A person ofthe Company expressed his opinion that it is better to build a seabed pipeline than an overland one from an economic pointof view and explained that Tokyo Gas is proceeding with the feasibility study, taking this into account.
