Contamination by foreign substances has been reduced at Vanino Bulk Terminal, which is operated by Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK), the leading Russian coal company. The amount of foreign substances decreased to 10 kilogram per Panamax vessel, although the amount varies according to the circumstances. The contamination at the terminal has dwindled to the level equivalent to that of cargoes loaded at Newcastle. However, the figure is available only for cargoes bound for Japan.
