JX Opens its First Hydrogen-Refilling Station

JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation (JX Energy) has opened its first hydrogen-refilling station for fuel cell vehicles (FCV) on December 25. The station, located just nexdoor to the existing gasoline refilling station, “Dr. Drive Ebina-Chuo”, is the first gasoline/hydrogen-refilling combined station in Japan. The price of hydrogen at the station has been set at Yen1,000/kg before tax, which will cost a car about Yen5,000 for filling its tank up. Refilling time is estimated about 3 minutes.
