Until past year,thinking of a single-line SSP plant(Solid Slate Polycondcnsation)producing more than 700 t/day of Pet chips was all but a dream.The existing SSP technology-based on the mobile-bed vertical reactor where the Pet chips move from the top to the bottom by the force of gravity-had reached its limit at 600 t/day as the problems determined by the movement of the solids,the distribution of gas and the plant size prevented users from handling higher volumes.
