In 1995 the Plas Mec manufacturing range was enriched by a technology that in the following years assumed an increasing importance in the company's business: the Planetary Extruders (or Planetary Plasticizers, as defined by their inventor). The strategic decision to face this new manufacturing task was made by the founder of the company: Filadelfo Marinello. The purpose was to supply to the market complete PVC granulating lines. This decision corresponded furthermore to a fundamental marketing rule, which says that - if a company is not a leader in a certain field of products - it is preferable to diversify.
