Solvay, Invista renew JV nylon intermediates agreement

Solvay and Invista renewed their joint venture agreement to manu- facture adiponitrile (ADN), a key intermediate in the production of nylon-6,6, Solvay announced today. The long-term agreement clarifes the rules of control and operations of Butachimie (Chalampe, France), in which each company owns a 50% stake. Butachimie operates the world's largest ADN production facility, at Chalampe, the company says.
