IMCDd posts first results since IPO—big increases in sales and earnings

Specialty chemicals distributor IMCD Group (Rotterdam) posted a a 22% increase in net profit before amortization and nonrecurring items for the first half of 2014 compared with the first half of last year, to ?15 million, on sales up 14%, to ?702 million. Operating Ebitda increased 13% year-on-year, to ?56 million and gross profit grew 12%, to ?147 million. Second-quarter figures were not disclosed. These are the first set of financial results to be published by IMCD following the company's recent initial public offering.
