Solvay Builds Hydrogen Fluoride Plant in China…

Solvay and Sinochem Lantian, a subsidiary of Sinochem (Beijing), will build an electronics-grade hydrogen fluoride plant for Lansol Fluorchem Co. at Quzhou, China. Lansol Fluorchem, a producer of technical grades of purified hydrogen fluoride, is a joint venture in which Zhejiang Lantian Environmental Protection Co. has 70% and Solvay 30%. Sinochem Lantian is China's leading integrated producer of fluorine chemicals. Its products include fluorspar, fluorine polymers, and fluorine fine chemicals. Commercial products from the new installation will be available by the end of this year, Solvay says.
