Mitsubishi Chemical to expand capacity for biobased Durabio

Mitsubishi Chemical says it has developed a grade of high-performance, high-transparency biobased engineering plastic, named Durabio, using plant-derived isosorbide as raw material. The new material features “excellent” optical properties and high resistance to heat and humidity, the company says.
