Farmers' organization announces site for $1.7-billion nitrogen fertilizer plant

Farms and Families of North America Fertilizer Limited Partnership (FNA FLP; Saskatoon, SK), an alliance of farmers designed to build a nitrogen fertilizer plant, announced the location for its $1.7- billion nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing facility: Belle Plaine, SK. FNA FLP says the location is ideal because of its access to natural gas; available electrical power supply; ample water supply; and necessary logistics infrastructure, including roads and access to both national railways and skilled workers.
