The dynamic model of a pressurized peroxide stage described here predicts brightness progression and the consumption of bleaching chemicals against time. The paper outlines the mathematicatcomponefits of the model, validates the model through available laboratory bleaching studies, and illustrates how mills might apply the model to optimize chemical charges to meet brightness targets.
