ZeoGas to use ExxonMobil methanol-to-gasoline technology in US Gulf Coast project

ZeoGas (Houston), a developer of natural gas-to-gasoline projects, has entered into a license agreement to use ExxonMobil's research and engineering subsidiary’s methanol-to-gasoline (MTG) technology in the development of a natural gas–to-gasoline plant on the US Gulf Coast, the company said on Monday. Earlier this year, ZeoGas licensed the MegaMethanol technology from an Air Liquide engineering and and construction subsidiary, formerly Lurgi, for a 5,000-m.t./day methanol plant, which will provide the feedstock for the MTG facility. ZeoGas is developing a portfolio of projects to convert natural gas to gasoline to take advantage of the abundant and relatively low-cost natural gas in North America
