Univar breaks ground on facility to serve oil and gas industry

Univar says it has broken ground on a 52,000–square foot distribution center on 12 acres of land at Elmendorf, TX. The facility, located in the Alamo Junction Rail Park, is expected to be fully operational by the end of this year, Univar says. The new facility will give Univar critical access to activity in the Eagle Ford Shale Basin, which produced more than 16.4 million bbl of crude oil in March, or about one quarter of Texas's overall monthly output of crude, the company says.
