摘要

We have studied the mechanical properties of 1,2-syndiotactic polybutadiene (1,2-SPB) under UV irradiation at a wavelength of 220 nm, which corresponds to the pi -> pi* transitions. It is experimentally demonstrated for the first time that the elastic moduli of 1,2-SPB under such conditions can vary by more than seven orders of magnitude.
