摘要

The formation of rivulets on the surface of a liquid film flowing down a vertical plate heated in the bottom part has been experimentally studied for Reynolds numbers from 100 to 250. The distances between rivulets are determined as functions of the Reynolds number and the heat flux density. It is established that the liquid film is subject to deformation in the initial part of the region of heat exchange. Artificial perturbations in a certain interval of wavelengths produce a change in the number of rivulets formed on the heater surface. At high Reynolds numbers, the heat exchange exhibits intensification under the action of artificial perturbations with wavelength close to a certain "most dangerous" value.
