New 'Teflon G' is tougher and more temperature-resistant

New 'Teflon G' is tougher and more temperature-resistant than conventional FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) fluoropolymer. Extrusion processable, the new DuPont polymer looks good for wire and cable insulation, heat-shrink tubing, and industrial film. Toughness of the TeFlon G is illustrated by imapct strength of 4.6 kJ/M at 100 deg C (212 deg F), compared to 1.7 kJ/m for conventional FEP.
