US-based Deltron's wholly owned manufacturing subsidiary Elasco has developed proprietary PL) formulations made from soybean oil. The company, which provides prototype work, mould and tooling design, manufacturing, custom casting, injection moulding and proprietary polymer mixing, claims its PUs reduce related carbon emissions by 36%. CEO Henry Larrucea also commented, "Our team has been developing and selling PU products containing soy-based polyols for two years. We are seeing increased demand for greener products from customers, particularly those in the recreational products industry."
