Quality levels for TPEs in Asia

Thermoplastic elastomers, or TPEs for short, offer a good compromise between the properties of an elastomer and the processability of a thermoplastic, introducing rubber-like properties to components that can be moulded using conventional processing equipment. It is because of this that the use of TPEs is growing in Asia where the market is undergoing quality tiering, says Roger Young, Vice-President Asia Pacific of Robert Eller Associates, in this report.
