Recycling for sustainability

摘要

A new WRAP(Waste Resource Action Programme)study has found that sending the UK's used plastic bottles and paper for recycling to China actually saves carbon emissions,even if it means shipping them more than 10,000 miles away.The study also found that over the last ten years,exports of used plastic bottles rose from 40,000 to 500,000 in the UK,thereby reflecting the 30% increase in household recycling.
