Dow technology in Taiwan and the Middle East

Taiwanese company Nanya Plastics,a subsidiary of Formosa Plastics Group,is expanding its chemicals output by retrofitting its plant with the LP Oxo Selector technology offered by Dow Chemical and Davy Process Technology,a Johnson Matthey company.With start-up targeted for 2010,the expansion will increase the capacity of normal and iso-butyraldehdye from 192,000 to 241,600 tonnes/year and that of 2-ethylhexanol(2EH)from 150,000 to 200,000 tonnes/year.
