For producing "cyclic" resins, a 2,500 tonne/year (5.5. million lb) plant is being built in Brandenburg, Germany, says Cyclics Corp., Schenectly, NY, USA. Start-up is set for early 2004. The plant is being built at the production site of BASF Schwarzheide GmbH which will supply PBT feedstock to Cyclies for conversion into cyclic forms of PBT (polybutylene terephthalate).
