Taiwan-based Formosa Plastics will invest US$300 million to set up a synthetic rubber plant in Ningbo, Zhejiang province. Construction of the plant will begin this year with production to start in two years. Initially the plant will produce 50,000 tonnes/year of isobutylene-isoprene rubber.
