Green materials take precedence

摘要

Based on different raw materials, bioplastics are produced and processed using diverse technologies and tailored to various applications as well as recovered or disposed of through multiple waste management systems. Consequently the results from Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) are complex, with the environmental performance of bioplastics needing to be assessed on a case by case basis. LCAs have been used by the industry to optimise processes and the environmental performance of products for years.
