Evonik Industries has commenced its Plexiglas polyme-thyl methacrylate (PMMA) compounding plant at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park. The facility is located where the first of Evoniks MATCH (Methacrylates To China) project, a new integrated production system for methacrylates and PMMA, has gone on stream after receiving the relevant permits from the Chinese authorities.
