Though PU gloves are known for their flexibility, breathability and ability to resist abrasion, the method used for their manufacture involves the use of a toxic solvent, DMF (dimethylformamide), which is used to dilute the PU. Now, UK glove company Sperian Protection has introduced a product that is said to eliminate toxic dangers and reduce the risk of allergies.
