When a manufacturer of rubber grips for tooling and recreational equipment experienced difficulty in de-moulding a sulphur-cured EPDM rubber compound,the company turned to Axel Plastics. Release from the steel barrel moulds and core pins was poor and mould fouling was substantial,resulting in high reject rates and production delays as a result of the need to frequently remove moulds for cleaning.
