Dow Corning has announced a multi-million dollar investment in a new silicone rubber plant to support growing demand from customers in China and Asia. Located in Jiangsu Province, the new plant is the largest silicone rubber investment Dow Corning says it has made globally in the last ten years. Expecting the demand in China to be higher than the world average given the country's accelerated GDP growth rate, the 6,000 sq m site will manufacture High Consistency Rubber (HCR) and Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) for industrial and consumer applications.
