Chinese investments continue to grow

China is still a key growth area for foreign companies,with several new investments having been announced recently.The first of these is the startup of DSM's Akulon PA6 plant in Jiangyin,Jiangsu province,making it the only company to produce the entire PA6 chain,from caprolactam and polymers to compounded products,in China.Under its Vision 2010 strategy,China is a key focus for DSM and in 2007 it raised its sales target from US1 billion to US1.5 billion by 2010.This first PA6 polymerisation plant will support the region and the fast growing food packaging industry.
