Machinery companies shape up

The world's leading manufacturer of machinery for plastics and rubber processing,MPM Group,has announced that its two subsidiaries Berstorff and Krauss-Maffei will merge their extrusion operations. Berstorff and Krauss-Maffei have already been working together closely for a while in the US and Russia. The merger will be finalised by the 2006/7 fiscal year end. MPM Holding will also be integrated with the new Krauss-Maffei company while injection moulding machinery producer Netstal will become a subsidiary of Krauss-Maffei. Another injection moulding machinery company Demag Plastics Group will become an independent entity and be managed separately from the new company.
