Fujitsu Ltd,Fujitsu Laboratories and French chemical company Arkema have developed a new polyamide (PAH) that uses castor oil extracted from the seeds of the castor bean.The material is said to feature improved flexibil- ity and has the capability to withstand repeated bending.Fujitsu will consider using this new bio-based polymer for small components like con- nector covers in notebook PCs and mobile phones.
