India's natural rubber(NR)production stands at about 802,625 tonnes/year,making it the fourth largest source of the commodity in the world after Thailand(3.1 million tonnes),Indonesia(2.3 million tonnes)and Malaysia(1.1 million tonnes).This means that for the industry's downstream activities,supply of the raw material is not too big an issue.
