AUTOMOTIVE: MG Rover plans POUND100m cuts

The carmaker MG Rover is planning POUND100m of cost-cuts in an attempt to eliminate losses caused by delays to the launch of the replacement for its Rover 45 mid-sized model.The move comes after attempts by the last British-owned volume carmaker to reduce losses stumbled last year for the first time since Rover was bought from BMW : in May 2000.
