Ticona is planning to expand its Vectra liquid crystal polymer (LCP) plant in North Carolina, USA. By debottle-necking the current facility, the company plans to increase capacity by 40%. Ticona Kad originally slated the expansion plans for 2005 but has brought them forward due to the demand for its material.
