New TPVs speed complex automotive parts into production

According to Japanese polymer supplier Zeon Chemicals, automotive-sector OEMs are increasingly shifting out of Detroit and central Europe and into Brazil, India, China and Korea. In this changing market environment, many parts makers are finding that innovative and immediate solutions for their global customers can be developed with minor modifications to popular materials. Zeon cites as an example the latest in its portfolio of Zeotherm thermoplastic vukanisates (TPVs). Zeotherm 151-40D is used for monolayer construction of charge-air ducts capable of withstanding a temperature of 150°C continuously.
