Celanese buys two operations

The advanced engineered materials (AEM) unit of Celanese has acquired a pair of speciality resin businesses from DuPont for an undisclosed price. The US-based AEM unit - which includes the Ticona speciality resins business -has added DuPont's Zenite-brand liquid crystal polymer and Thermx-brand PCT Those materials combined for sales of $40m last year.
