Sir:The best substitute for burn scar tissue, especially in the head and neck region, is the local flap. Neighboring tissue simulates the texture, thickness, and color of the damaged skin. In moderate to extensive contractures, the local flap does not suffice and one may need tissue expanders for surface coverage after scar excision
