Discussion: Nonendoscopic Deactivation of Nerve Triggers in Migraine Headache Patients: Surgical Technique and Outcomes

摘要

In this retrospective review of 35 patients with chronic refractory migraine headaches, the authors describe their nonendoscopic technique for the treatment of four migraine compression points: the forehead, temple, and auriculotem-poral and occipital areas. This report on 1-year outcomes compares the overall response rate of the nonendoscopic approach versus the response rate of the transpalpebral approach, and discusses a new direct approach for accessing the zygomati-cotemporal branch of the trigeminal nerve.
