Canadian Standards Association Drafts Standard on Glass Railings

Perhaps it was only a matter of time before Canadian building agencies began work on a standard that would strengthen balcony railings, following the publicity around the rash of broken glass railings in 2011 (see October 2011 USGlass, page 32). That time is now, as the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), a part of CSA Group, has begun the early stages of what is currently being called CSA A500 Guards in and around Buildings.
