We present a sutureless technique for sulcus fixation of a standard 3-piece posterior chamber intraocular lens (IOL) without the need for capsular support by embedding the haptics in limbus-parallel scleral tunnels. This technique can be used for refixation of subluxed IOLs and for placement of an IOL into an aphakic eye with insufficient remaining structures to allow sulcus fixation either during primary surgery or as a secondary procedure. The technique uses simple maneuvers and does not require special IOLs.
