Tokyo - An increase in domestic demand for polytetramethylene ether glycol-based polyurethane (PTMEG) bolstered Hodogaya Chemical Group during 2013, according to its interim financial report. The company's specialty polymers segment also enjoyed an increase in exports of adhesives in 2013 "as a result of the weakening of the Japanese Yen", said the report. The segment's sales amounted to JPY6bn ($57.9m).
