TDI MARGINS DROP AS NEW PLANTS PROGRESS

London - A decline in prices and volumes for TDI (toluene diisocyanate) in the second half of 2011 has led to reduced margins and lowered profits for some of the polyurethane industry's top players. These low margins coincide as two players plan big TDI facilities in Europe, with production due to start in 2014.
