UTECH 2015: PER CAPITA POLYURETHANE CONSUMPTION GROWING STRONGLY

Per capita polyurethane consumption is set to increase 50% over the next decade, according to Jon Penrice, global marketing director Dow Polyurethanes. Speaking on the first day of UTECH Europe 2015, Penrice said current annual consumption of polyurethane is 4lb (1.8kg)/person but said this figure was estimated to increase to 6lb/person by 2025. The figures represent averages based on world population with current consumption much higher in developed countries and lower in developing countries, where the major future growth will show.
