Leverkusen, Germany - Marijn Dekkers, Bayer chairmain said it is not clear whether the MaterialScience business will be sold via an IPO or spun off. "It depends on how the stock market behaves and its position," said Dekkers. He also said the decision would be made in the second half of 2015. Dekkers was speaking at the firm's annual results press conference at the end of February. He said BMS had sales of ?11.7bn ($13.1bn) in 2014. This number was up 5°/o on 2013 due to higher volumes and a slight fall in selling prices.
