BIRNS' PU MOULDING UNIT GETS US NAVY APPROVAL

Oxnard, California - Birns Inc.'s polyurethane moulding facility has been examined by the US Navy's Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) department recently and gained certification for "Molding and Inspection Procedures forFabricating Connector Plugs for Submarine Outboard Cables -IMAVSEA S9320-AM-PRO-020."The group, which is ISO 9001:2008-certified, calls itself a top designer and manufacturer of high-performance connectors, custom cable assemblies, penetrators and lights. US Navy approval makes it one of only seven such commercial organisations in the US.
