Dow chemical Co. is to close its MDI(methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) plant in Brindisi, with the loss of 126 jobs, Dow announced 19 Dec. The decision follows the collapse of a proposed sale of the unit to Chimica D'Agostino SpA-an independent chemicals maker and distributor based in Bari.
